Kampot, Battambang Dominate in the Tug of War Championship

KAMPOT: Kampot’s Tug of War Association dominates the men’s category while Battambang’s group wins the women’s category during the National Tug of War Championship 2021 held at the Provincial Teacher Training College in Kandal province. It was held on Sunday and Monday.

Cambodian Tug of War Federation technical officials says that winners in both events (men-women) include the men's 4-4 event in the 300 kg weight category. First place went to Kampot’s team, second place for Battambang and third is from Kandal. For the women’s 4-4 weight category, Battambang took the first place followed by Svay Rieng and Kampot.

Tug of War Federation Secretary General Prak Samphors says that the annual competition of the tug of war supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports is aimed to accelerate the development of the National Sports Federation.

Cambodian Tug of War Federation President Meas Sarin highly appreciates the efforts of the athletes in all capital-provincial associations to the national event fruitful.
